LEBANON - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that CGI-AMS Inc., the wholly-owned U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI Group Inc. (NYSE: GIB, TSX: GIB.SV.A), will invest $6 million to open a software development and systems integration facility in Russell County’s Russell Regional Business Technology Park. CGI-AMS provides information technology (IT) services to the government and private sector, and will create 300 new jobs within 30 months. Virginia successfully competed against Alabama and Utah for the company’s expansion initiative.

MANASSAS - Governor Mark R. Warner announced today that 860 new high-tech jobs are being brought to Northern Virginia as part of Micron Technology, Inc.’s $1.2 billion upgrade of its fabrication facilities in Manassas. The initial phase of the upgrade, from 200mm to state-of-the-art 300mm process technology, has occurred over the course of the past year. Additionally, the company exceeded expectations by reaching a milestone of 5,000 wafers produced per week in August, well ahead of schedule.

The company will create 32 new positions to do the fabrication, detail and top and body repair for race cars. This expansion includes the launch of a new race team in the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series at Virginia International Raceway (VIR).
RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Specialty Blades, Inc. will invest $6 million to expand its facility in the City of Staunton. The company manufactures precision-cutting and piercing components for surgical and industrial use. The project will create 25 new jobs.

The company manufactures hardwood flooring and will add a new wood pellet manufacturing operation as part of the expansion, creating 40 jobs. RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Dynamic Aviation will invest $4.1 million to expand its facility at Bridgewater Airport in Rockingham County. The project will create 206 new jobs, including avionics technicians, airframe technicians, engine repair technicians and electricians. Virginia successfully competed against Maryland, Oklahoma and West Virginia for the project.

Warner today announced that Universal Fiber Systems, a leading producer of fibers and yarns for carpet, upholstery, automotive, industrial and other textile applications, will invest $8 million to expand its Prisma Fibers facility in Washington County. The project will create 82 new jobs and save 12 current jobs.
