The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is the state economic development authority for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Created in 1995, VEDP collaborates with local, regional, and state partners to encourage the expansion and diversification of Virginia’s economy. VEDP works to accomplish these objectives through a variety of activities, including marketing and lead generation; business retention, expansion, and attraction; trade development; business intelligence; competitive benchmarking; site development; performance-based incentives; and talent solutions.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) seeks a Business Manager for the Logistics Sector to implement an air cargo gateway strategy leveraging Washington-Dulles International Airport to drive growth and investment in Virginia's logistics sector and attract investment from heavy air cargo use industries. This role focuses on expanding the air cargo logistics ecosystem, enhancing infrastructure efficiency, attracting cargo volume through Dulles cargo operations, developing KPIs to measure success, promoting innovation within the sector, and supporting investment in advanced manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and other targeted growth sectors. The Business Manager will leverage market intelligence and collaborate with key stakeholders to position Virginia as the premier choice for air cargo logistics operations.

This is a field-based position with direct engagement with senior leadership at prospective companies, existing businesses, and key stakeholders including the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA). The role is high visibility and requires significant self-direction and exceptional organizational skills. The Business Manager is expected to actively represent VEDP in the logistics sector, driving initiatives and fostering relationships that promote economic growth, innovation, and investment in Virginia.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and customer-focused Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources Division. This role is essential in supporting daily HR operations, with a strong emphasis on benefits administration, employee support, and administrative coordination in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Sr. Manager of Talent Marketing within its Marketing & Communications (M&C) Division to manage the development and execution of a statewide marketing campaign for the Virginia Talent & Opportunity Partnership (V-TOP). This innovative initiative aims to dramatically expand paid internship opportunities for higher education students across the Commonwealth. The M&C Division manages Virginia’s business brand and builds awareness of the Commonwealth’s advantages.

The Sr. Manager will play a pivotal role in positioning Virginia as America’s Top State for Talent and will help support VEDP’s broader talent marketing efforts. This position will lead efforts to raise employer awareness of V-TOP, promote the value of internships, and drive participation from businesses across the state. This position will also collaborate closely with VEDP’s M&C and Talent and Workforce Strategy teams to ensure alignment and amplify the reach of V-TOP’s messaging. This role will be part of a mission-driven team working to strengthen Virginia’s economy and workforce.
