The Team

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is the state economic development authority for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Created in 1995, VEDP collaborates with local, regional, and state partners to encourage the expansion and diversification of Virginia’s economy. VEDP works to accomplish these objectives through a variety of activities, including marketing and lead generation; business retention, expansion, and attraction; trade development; business intelligence; competitive benchmarking; site development; performance-based incentives; and talent solutions.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking an experienced Videographer/Editor to join the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on multiple projects with the world’s most prestigious companies as they deploy leading edge technologies at their new or expanding Virginia locations.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to provide administrative, technical, and programmatic support to the Human Resources Division. The successful candidate will have significant experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that requires strong attention to detail. 

VEDP is seeking an experienced economic development or industry professional to manage industry growth with an emphasis on ecosystem-building, sector expertise, and coordinating whole-of-government processes within targeted high-growth sectors on the Manufacturing team. This team is responsible for the Advanced Manufacturing, Food Processing and Manufacturing, and Biopharmaceuticals industries. 

Working with the Vice President, Manufacturing, the Industry Manager position offers the ability to take a key role in VEDP’s Innovative Framework for Economic Growth by designing and executing sector strategies to take Virginia’s economic development efforts to the next level and foster greater economic growth. The Industry Manager will engage with business decision makers and influencers in one or more assigned industries to understand key drivers for growth to inform Virginia’s sector growth strategy. The Industry Manager will work in partnership with the Manufacturing team and stakeholders to strengthen regional ecosystems, enhance statewide competitiveness, increase start-up formation, develop homegrown companies into anchors, and realize organic growth.

Working with the Vice President, Manufacturing, the Strategic Engagement and Lead Generation (SEL) Manager role offers the ability to take a key role in VEDP’s Innovative Framework for Economic Growth by designing and executing sector strategies to take Virginia’s economic development efforts to the next level and foster greater economic growth. The SEL Manager will engage with business decision makers and influencers in one or more assigned industries to understand key drivers for growth to inform Virginia’s sector growth strategy.

The Virginia Talent Accelerator Program is seeking an Instructional Designer to create highly customized and engaging training for our client companies, fully leveraging our robust in-house video production, graphic design, and animation teams. Operated by the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program provides fully customized training and talent acquisition solutions at no cost to qualified new and expanding companies as an incentive for job creation. 

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership is seeking to hire a Vice President, Logistics who will provide primary staff leadership for developing and implementing strategies to promote employment growth within the Logistics industry in Virginia.  This industry represents some of the largest potential job growth opportunities for the Commonwealth. 

The Vice President, Logistics will be responsible for leading Virginia’s economic development efforts for targeted sector growth through a whole-of-government approach including close collaboration with the Port of Virginia and other state, regional, and local partners. Key areas of responsibility include ecosystem building, strategy development, and implementation.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership is seeking to hire a Vice President, Knowledge Work who will provide primary staff leadership for developing and implementing strategies to promote employment growth within the Business Services (including corporate headquarters), Software and Cybersecurity, Financial Services, and Aerospace and Defense Innovation industries in Virginia. Collectively, these industries represent some of the largest potential job growth opportunities for the Commonwealth. 

The Vice President, Knowledge Work will be responsible for leading Virginia’s economic development efforts for targeted sector growth through a whole-of-government approach in close collaboration with state, regional, and local partners. Key areas of responsibility include ecosystem building, strategy development, and implementation. 

The Vice President of Incentives (VP) will lead VEDP’s Division of Incentives, established in the Code of Virginia, with responsibility for reviewing, vetting, tracking, and coordinating economic development incentives administered by VEDP and aligning those incentives with economic development incentives offered by other entities in the Commonwealth.
