The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is the state economic development authority for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Created in 1995, VEDP collaborates with local, regional, and state partners to encourage the expansion and diversification of Virginia’s economy. VEDP works to accomplish these objectives through a variety of activities, including marketing and lead generation; business retention, expansion, and attraction; trade development; business intelligence; competitive benchmarking; site development; performance-based incentives; and talent solutions.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking an experienced economic development or industry professional to support the Vice President, Manufacturing, in executing strategic initiatives, managing daily operations, and driving internal collaboration. This role includes leading a team, overseeing lead generation efforts, developing ecosystem initiatives, and enhancing Virginia’s competitiveness in the Manufacturing Sector.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) seeks an Industry Director for the Logistics Sector to lead and implement strategies that drive growth and investment in Virginia's logistics sector. This role focuses on expanding the logistics ecosystem, enhancing infrastructure efficiency, addressing workforce gaps, promoting innovation within the sector, and supporting investment in advanced manufacturing and other targeted growth sectors. The Director will leverage market intelligence and collaborate with key stakeholders to position Virginia as the premier choice for logistics operations.

This is a field-based position with direct engagement with senior leadership at prospective companies, existing businesses, and key stakeholders including the Port of Virginia. The role is high visibility and requires significant self-direction and exceptional organizational skills. The Director is expected to actively represent VEDP in the logistics sector, driving initiatives and fostering relationships that promote economic growth, innovation, and investment in Virginia.

The Virginia Office of Education Economics (VOEE) housed within the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide administrative and programmatic support. VOEE's mission is to inform policy and practice at the intersection of education and the workforce. The Executive Assistant will provide critical support to the VOEE team in pursuit of its mission. The successful candidate will have experience working in a cooperative, fast-paced environment and share an interest in education research and workforce alignment, economic development, or public service. This role will engage with a diverse group of stakeholders, including legislators and other government officials, college and university leaders, workforce board members, and other public officials. 

VEDP is seeking to hire an Executive Vice President (EVP) who will play a central role in achieving VEDP’s transformational economic development goals by strategically leading the implementation and continuous improvement of the Innovative Framework operating model across VEDP’s lead generation, ecosystem building, project management, research, incentives, and marketing functions.

The EVP also will play a vital leadership role in collaborating with the President and CEO in leading VEDP’s overall strategy and operations to encourage, stimulate, and support the development and expansion of the economy of the Commonwealth in collaboration with state, regional, and local partners.

The EVP position reports to VEDP’s President and CEO and requires strong leadership and management experience with a proven track record of collaborating with diverse partners and constituents to achieve mutually beneficial goals and objectives.
