The Team

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is the state economic development authority for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Created in 1995, VEDP collaborates with local, regional, and state partners to encourage the expansion and diversification of Virginia’s economy. VEDP works to accomplish these objectives through a variety of activities, including marketing and lead generation; business retention, expansion, and attraction; trade development; business intelligence; competitive benchmarking; site development; performance-based incentives; and talent solutions.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking an Associate Brand Manager in the Marketing and Communications Division to assist with report design and industry materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop collateral, including general marketing, industry-specific brochures, and print advertisements, as well as reference materials produced in conjunction with other departments
  • Design reports and documents that include narrative, data sets, charts, graphs, and photography according to established brand standards
  • Design and edit program flyers as well as event invitations, signage and other supporting materials
  • Support other print and digital design projects as needed

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Communications Specialist to provide key support in raising the profile of VEDP, telling the story of Virginia, and promoting the Commonwealth as a top state for business to audiences in the state, nationally, and globally. This position will help plan and execute earned media campaigns and media tours; assist with Governor’s announcements and events with companies, localities/regional economic development organizations, and the Governor’s Office; manage databases; and assist with other communications tasks as needed, such as drafting news releases, social media copy, talking points, annual report content, and case studies. 

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Development Director to join its Real Estate Solutions Division. This position will leverage state funding sources to advance the readiness of Virginia’s real estate portfolio. The Development Director will coordinate with a statewide group of development partners to market and develop real estate packages for prospective companies. 

This position will join a high-impact team that broadly focuses on analyzing, developing, and implementing real estate solutions for economic development projects across Virginia. The team collaborates and coordinates with partners (e.g., local and regional economic development organizations, utilities, state funding partners) and third-party private entities to strategically develop and maintain a comprehensive, statewide portfolio of project-ready industrial sites and other real estate options for the full range of economic development project types and sizes considering Virginia and its regions. 

The Virginia Office of Education Economics (VOEE) is seeking an innovative, entrepreneurial, and collaborative leader with a passion for data-driven decision making to guide VOEE’s next phase of growth and development. The Executive Director oversees a dynamic research agenda, leads cross-sector partnerships, and ensures the VOEE team continues to provide actionable insights on education and workforce alignment in Virginia.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), is seeking an experienced writer/producer/editor for the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program.

The core responsibilities will be to manage, write, produce, direct, and edit recruitment and training video productions primarily for manufacturing clients located throughout Virginia. The successful candidate must have proven skills in writing short and long form narrative scripts, storytelling, crafting web copy, coordinating pre-production logistics, developing client relationships, collaborating with other skilled videographers, and editing on Adobe Premiere Pro software.
