The Team

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is the state economic development authority for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Created in 1995, VEDP collaborates with local, regional, and state partners to encourage the expansion and diversification of Virginia’s economy. VEDP works to accomplish these objectives through a variety of activities, including marketing and lead generation; business retention, expansion, and attraction; trade development; business intelligence; competitive benchmarking; site development; performance-based incentives; and talent solutions.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Business Presentation Specialist within the Research Division. This role works to improve presentation capabilities across the organization by promoting adherence to brand guidelines and offering PowerPoint user assistance and guidance. The Specialist also supports the development of highly customized presentations to help the Research team and other VEDP divisions effectively communicate their message to clients and stakeholders. By enhancing the effectiveness of organizational communications, this position will play an essential role in furthering VEDP’s economic development goals.

The successful candidate will have significant experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that requires strong attention to detail.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking an experienced international business development professional to assist Virginia-based companies in generating international sales. This is a unique opportunity to work with a broad range of companies from the Central Region of Virginia as they grow their export sales. By recruiting and managing a portfolio of companies to participate in VEDP International Trade’s programs and services, this position will consult with companies to provide advice and guidance on entering new international markets. This position will facilitate access to international trade development resources provided by VEDP, such as customized market research, international matchmaking, export compliance, and grants to help Virginia companies grow their international sales.

The Virginia Office of Education Economics (VOEE) housed within the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Research Project Manager to manage and execute a number of exciting research projects. Recently created through legislation, VOEE is tasked with providing a unified, consistent source of data and analysis on talent and education and labor market alignment. VOEE’s work will inform policy and practice changes and lead to innovation throughout the Commonwealth to improve outcomes for students, workers, and industry. This position is an opportunity to join this new team at VEDP and help build this first in the nation office.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Sr. Vice President of Policy and Strategic Partnerships (SVP). This position is responsible for managing the following divisions: Economic Competitiveness, External Affairs, Real Estate Solutions, and Regional Talent Solutions and Business Outreach.  In addition to managing these four divisions, the SVP serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, providing regular counsel and support to the President & CEO and other leadership team members on a variety of activities.  

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking an experienced economic development professional to successfully promote Virginia to targeted corporate executives and consultants as the preferred location for new and expanding business facilities. 

VEDP is seeking to hire an Executive Vice President (EVP) who will play a central role in achieving VEDP’s transformational economic development goals by strategically leading enhancements in the design and implementation of VEDP’s business investment, research, incentives, and marketing functions.

The Vice President of Incentives (VP) will lead VEDP’s Division of Incentives, established in the Code of Virginia, with responsibility for reviewing, vetting, tracking, and coordinating economic development incentives administered by VEDP and aligning those incentives with economic development incentives offered by other entities in the Commonwealth.

I am responsible for supporting government affairs and partner relations by interacting with all divisions of VEDP and external stakeholders.  I like establishing relationships with our partners, learning about the different regions, and providing services to the ones who need it most.  I believe in VEDP’s services because I get to experience firsthand the different ways each division supports and helps build communities around the Commonwealth.
