RICHMOND - Governor Timothy M. Kaine today announced that Pinnacle Wood Products of Virginia, Inc. will invest $1.4 million to open a wood products manufacturing operation in Wise County. The company will create 200 new jobs.
“Southwest Virginia boasts an impressive wood products industry cluster, and Pinnacle Wood Products will add great value to this growing sector,” said Governor Kaine. “Wise County’s local entrepreneurial workforce will meet the company’s needs.”
RICHMOND - Governor Timothy M. Kaine today announced that Carded Graphics, LLC, (CGL) a premier folding carton converter, will invest $6.5 million to expand manufacturing capacity in Staunton and create 35 new jobs. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina for the project.

The delegation – Partners in Technology – is visiting Hampton Roads October 17-18 to meet with representatives from Virginia’s modeling and simulation industry to foster the establishment of business and research ties that will benefit the economies of Canada and Virginia through increased trade and investment.

RICHMOND - Governor Timothy M. Kaine today announced that Volkswagen of America, Inc. will invest more than $100 million to relocate its U.S. corporate headquarters to Fairfax County. The new 185,000-square-foot facility in Woodland Park business park will serve as the U.S. headquarters for Volkswagen of America, Inc., and will include the U.S. headquarters for Audi of America, Inc., Audi Financial Services, Volkswagen Credit and other affiliated operations. The project will create 400 new jobs in Fairfax County.

Kaine today announced that Universal Impact, Inc., a division of Dynamic Tool Company, Inc., and a manufacturer of aluminum extruded tools and parts, will invest $2.5 million to open a facility in the City of Staunton. The project will create 50 new jobs over the next three years. Virginia successfully competed with Texas for the project.
RICHMOND - Governor Timothy M. Kaine today announced that Aerial Machine and Tool Corp. will invest more than $600,000 to expand its production capacity in Patrick County. The facility manufactures precision-sewn and machined products for the U.S. Departments of Defense and Homeland Security, as well as for other military contractors. The expansion and remodeling project will help facilitate Aerial’s current and future growth, which they expect will create 75 new jobs. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina for the project.
RICHMOND - The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) today announced the acceptance of three Northern Virginia companies into its two-year Virginia Leaders in Export Trade (VALET) program. The companies are Aero International of Sterling, Cornet Technology, Inc., Video Convergence Division of Fairfax and H2Gen of Alexandria. Launched in January 2002, the VALET program assists exporters in the Commonwealth that have firmly established domestic operations and are committed to international exporting as an expansion strategy.
