Governor Allen Hails Decision and 67 Jobs for Southwest Virginia

Town of Lebanon - Governor George Allen today announced the decision by the Reynolds Metals Company to locate its new forging and finishing operations at the company's existing wheel manufacturing plant in Southwest Virginia. The Fortune 500 Virginia-based company will invest $26 million in the facility creating 67 new jobs for Russell County. Virginia successfully competed with Wisconsin and Canada for the investment.

New Technical Support Center will Create 300 High Tech Jobs

Richmond - Less than six months after participating in the company's grand opening dedication in Hampton, Virginia Governor George Allen today announced that Gateway 2000, the nation's leading global marketer of personal computers, will invest an additional $2 million to locate a new technical support call center at its $18 million Hampton facility. The call center will create 300 technical jobs.

Boise Cascade to Create 550 Jobs

Richmond - Virginia Governor George Allen today announced that Chicago-based Boise Cascade Office Products Corporation, an international office products distributor, will invest $7.5 million to locate a customer call center in Bristol that will create 550 new jobs. The company will locate the call center at an existing 80,000 square foot shell building in the city.

Woodstock Manufacturing to Create 400 Jobs

Richmond - Governor George Allen today announced that Woodstock Manufacturing Corporation has decided to establish operations in Shenandoah County. The new manufacturing operation will create 400 jobs over the next two years.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Vorsight, a sales effectiveness firm, will create 112 new jobs and invest more than $105,000 to expand its corporate headquarters in Arlington County. The company will acquire space to hire additional staff for its research and development, sales and marketing, customer success and technology teams.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Dulles Glass and Mirror, a manufacturer of glass, mirror and shower doors, will invest $7.5 million to consolidate its corporate headquarters, research and development, manufacturing, and warehouse operations in a renovated 84,010-square-foot facility in Prince William County. The company will retain 96 jobs and create 40 new jobs over the next five years.

TemperPack to invest $10.4 million to establish packaging manufacturing operation

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that TemperPack, a Richmond-headquartered manufacturer of sustainable thermal insulation for the shipment of perishable goods, will invest $10.4 million to establish a manufacturing operation in Henrico County. The facility will be the company’s second in Virginia. The project will create 141 new jobs. 

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Winchester Metals, a complete package metals industry partner, has invested $140,000 in new equipment at its manufacturing operation in Frederick County. Through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP), 29 existing employees will be retrained to operate the new machinery.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Nestlé USA, a subsidiary of Nestlé S.A., a leading global nutrition, health and wellness company, will invest $39.8 million to relocate its U.S. corporate headquarters operation to Arlington County from California. The company will occupy 206,000 square feet of 1812 North Moore Street, the tallest building in the metropolitan area. The project will create 748 new jobs in the area.

The College Board to expand, will retain more than 600 existing jobs

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that The College Board, a non-profit organization formed in 1900 to broaden access to higher education, will grow its operation in Fairfax County, expanding into an additional 74,000 square feet in Reston Town Center. Virginia successfully competed against Washington, D.C. for the project, which will retain 614 existing jobs and create 120 new jobs.
