RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Faneuil, Inc., a provider of customer support solutions for government and private sector customers, will invest $2.4 million to establish a customer support center in Martinsville to service its Dominion Virginia Power contract. Faneuil will also supplement with additional contract work. Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling joined business and government leaders today on the Governor’s behalf to announce the project, which will create 250 new jobs.

RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Virginia has been awarded Site Selection magazine’s 2010 Competitiveness Award. The award began in 2003 as a benchmark that measures state economic development agencies’ competitiveness—the most important factor in an agency’s ability to attract capital investment and expand economic activity in the state.

RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Phoenix Packaging Operations, LLC, a subsidiary of Phoenix Packaging Group, will invest more than $20 million to establish its first U.S. operation in Pulaski County. The company will manufacture thermoformed rigid plastic packaging for customers in the U.S., and also establish its North American headquarters in Pulaski. The project will create 240 new jobs. Virginia successfully competed against Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia.

RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Virginia Casting Industries, LLC, will invest $9.1 million to establish a ductile iron components manufacturing operation in the City of Radford, creating 300 new jobs. The company will occupy the former Intermet New River Foundry facility. Virginia successfully competed against Michigan for the project.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that The Hershey Company will make a multi-million dollar investment in new machinery to increase production capacity at its Stuarts Draft operation in Augusta County, creating 69 jobs. The Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP) will provide funding and services to help recruit and train the new employees. The VJIP funding also will support the retraining of 140 existing employees on the new equipment.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Allfirst, L.L.C., an industrial general contractor and metal fabricator, will invest $130,000 to expand its headquarters in the City of Suffolk. The company will purchase new machinery and tools, and retrain up to 62 existing employees to operate the equipment and perform other functions. Allfirst will also create 27 new jobs over the next three years.

RICHMOND - The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) today announced the acceptance of two Hampton Roads companies into its two-year Virginia Leaders in Export Trade (VALET) program. The new companies are Alliance Solutions Group, Inc. of the City of Newport News, and Parker Systems, Inc. of the City of Chesapeake. Launched in January 2002, the program assists exporters in the Commonwealth that have firmly established domestic operations and are committed to international exporting as an expansion strategy.

RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: DLR), a leading global provider of data center solutions, plans to invest at least $150 million by 2015 in its Loudoun County operation. The company is expanding and upgrading data center facilities in Loudoun County, and expecting to create at least 50 new jobs through June 30, 2015.

RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Orion Air Group, one of the world’s leading operators of business aircraft, will invest $4 million to consolidate its Virginia operations in the City of Newport News. The company, headquartered in Yorktown, Virginia, outgrew its current location and will develop a hangar and office space complex at Air Commerce Park located at the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport.

CoConstruct to expand IT operation

RICHMOND - Governor Ralph Northam today announced that CoConstruct, a web-based project management system for custom home builders and remodelers, will invest $485,000 to expand its IT operation in Albemarle County. The project will create 69 new jobs.
