RED OAK - Governor Bob McDonnell traveled to Red Oak today to announce that Morgan Lumber Company will invest $4.2 million to expand in Charlotte County. The company plans to install a new dry kiln technology known as the “Continuous Dry Kiln,” enabling 100 percent increased production and increased energy efficiency. The project will create 25 new jobs and bolster the Commonwealth’s forest products industry. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina for the project.

RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Polymer Group, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: POLGA; POLGB) (PGI), one of the world's leading producers of nonwoven fabrics, plans to invest at least $65 million to expand its existing facility in the City of Waynesboro. The investment would include the purchase of high-technology equipment to establish a new manufacturing line and increase production, and the expansion of the current building in order to accommodate the new line. The project would also create 41 new jobs.
KING WILLIAM - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced a 12-mile natural gas pipeline project along U.S. Route 360 in King William County. Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling joined business and government leaders today on the Governor’s behalf to break ground at the project site. Area corporations, including Virginia Natural Gas and Nestlé Purina PetCare Company, are joining with the Commonwealth to help fund the $6.5 million investment. The new infrastructure for King William County will allow Virginia Natural Gas to serve the County for the first time.
