RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that Woodgrain Millwork, a family-owned and operated company headquartered in Idaho, will expand its door and window component manufacturing facility in Smyth County. The company will create seventeen new jobs in the county and source 78 percent of its timber needs from Virginia land owners. Virginia successfully competed against North Carolina for the project.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that specialty yarn producer Drake Extrusion, Inc., a subsidiary of International Fibres Group (IFG), will invest $6 million to expand its manufacturing operation in Henry County. The company is a leading manufacturer of colored staple and filament polypropylene fiber. The project will create 30 new jobs.
RICHMOND - The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) announced today that QubicaAMF Worldwide, the leading marketer and manufacturer of bowling and mini bowling products, has selected new partners in Chile and Peru to develop its bowling entertainment business in each market. QubicaAMF is a participant in VEDP’s marquee export promotion program, the Virginia Leaders in Export Trade (VALET) program, designed to accelerate the success of Virginia companies in international markets.
RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that Merck, known as MSD outside of the United States and Canada, a global health care leader, will invest $168 million to expand its manufacturing operation near the Town of Elkton in Rockingham County. Over a period of time, Merck will upgrade plant infrastructure, add manufacturing-related facilities and equipment, and undertake a personnel training initiative to support the bioprocessing environment.
RICHMOND - The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) announced today that NOVA Power Solutions, Inc. (NOVA), a leading supplier of high-quality power solutions, has increased sales into its export markets as a result of the company’s participation in Virginia’s international trade programs. Through VEDP-led market visits to Eastern Europe and the Middle East in 2013, 2014 and 2015, NOVA found new customers in Europe and the Middle East. Two visits to Canada also led to increased sales in NOVA’s North American market.
RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that Deschutes Brewery will invest $85 million to establish its Eastern U.S. brewery in the City of Roanoke. The Governor met with company officials at their headquarters in Oregon during his September 2015 West Coast Marketing Mission. Virginia successfully competed against North Carolina and South Carolina on the project, which will create 108 new jobs paying above the average prevailing wage in the region.
RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that Movement Mortgage, one of the nation’s fastest growing, privately held mortgage companies, will invest $2 million to relocate its operations center from the City of Virginia Beach to the City of Norfolk. Virginia successfully competed against Arizona, North Carolina and South Carolina for the project, which will retain 550 jobs and create 200 new jobs.
RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that Norfolk Southern Corporation is investing $8.2 million to expand its corporate headquarters in the City of Norfolk to accommodate 165 new employees. The expansion and new jobs are the result of the consolidation of the company’s corporate offices in Norfolk and Atlanta and the closure of its Roanoke office building.
RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that ADP (NASDAQ: ADP), a comprehensive global provider of cloud-based human capital management solutions and business process outsourcing services, analytics, and compliance expertise, will invest $32.25 million to establish a regional customer service center in the City of Norfolk. The project will create about 1,800 new jobs.
