RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced Knight-Celotex, LLC will reopen the shuttered Masonite manufacturing facility in Danville, creating 145 jobs during the next 12 months. The company will invest $1 million to upgrade the plant for the manufacture of environmentally-friendly insulation, structural, roofing, and sound-deadening fiberboard products for residential and commercial construction nationwide. 

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Corporate Executive Board, which provides best practices research, decision-support tools, and executive education to a membership of the world’s leading corporations and not-for-profit institutions, has signed a lease on a 611,000-square-foot office facility to be built in Rosslyn, Arlington County. The project will result in a $227 million investment and about 2,500 new job opportunities with an estimated average annual salary of $70,000. 

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced a $4.1 million investment by CTS&I, Inc., a wood manufacturing company that recently purchased Cooper Wood Products in Franklin County. With the investment, the company, which also operates in the City of Roanoke, will open CTS&I Millwork, Inc., in Rocky Mount and create 150 new jobs for Roanoke Valley residents. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina for the project.

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that M.C. Dean, Inc. is investing $6.7 million in Caroline County as the location for its new electronics distribution and fabrication facility. This 100,000-square-foot facility will be located in the Shamrock Industrial Park in Bowling Green and will create 40 full-time jobs with pay ranging from $12 per hour to annual salaries up to $100,000. Virginia successfully competed with Maryland for the project.

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced an $8 million expansion of Nestlé Refrigerated Foods’ Danville facility that will provide 50 new jobs in the food processing industry. The company will expand its refrigerated cookie dough production capacity at the Nestlé facility located at 201 Airside in Danville’s Southside Industrial Park.

“Nestlé has been a leader in Danville for years, and to have such a solid company stay and grow is only good news,” Governor Warner said. “It says that Southside Virginia’s strong workforce is second to none.”

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced a $5 million expansion of Toll Integrated Systems that will increase the company’s manufacturing capacity in the City of Emporia and relocate its warehouse and distribution operations to the Greensville County Industrial Park. The expansion will create 100 new jobs and retain 190 jobs that may have been lost had Toll Brothers, Inc. not chosen Virginia as its expansion location. Virginia successfully competed with Maryland and West Virginia for the project.

Two-year export program provides resources to support international business expansion

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Charah, Inc., a specialized company that provides ash management services to the coal-fired electric utility industry, has invested $3 million to locate its business in the City of Emporia. The company will provide 28 new job opportunities for residents of Southside Virginia. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina for the project.

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Merillat Corporation, a subsidiary of Masco Corporation and manufacturer of kitchen and bath cabinets, will invest $7.3 million to expand its Smyth County facility. The expansion will add 60 new wood finishing and shipping jobs to its payroll.

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Midpaco, a new company that specializes in converted paper products and wholesale printing and writing papers, will invest $3 million and locate a manufacturing facility in Scott County, bringing 140 new jobs to Southwest Virginia. Midpaco will be a limited liability corporation created through the purchase of Mid-Atlantic Paper, LLC, an existing company in Duffield, Va. The purchase will secure 33 jobs held by Mid-Atlantic Paper employees.
