Nathan Trotter to invest approximately $65 million in Henry County, creating an estimated 118 jobs and strengthening domestic production of metals critical to national defense

RICHMOND, VA — Governor Glenn Youngkin today announced Hitachi Energy, a global leader in electrification, will invest $457 million to expand the company’s power transformer production facility in South Boston, Virginia, creating 825 new jobs in the Commonwealth.  

Red River Foods, a fully integrated supplier of nuts, seeds, dried fruits, snacks, and grains ethically sourced worldwide, will invest $15.5 million to expand its Henrico County headquarters.

RICHMOND, VA — Governor Glenn Youngkin today announced Google will invest an additional $9 billion in Virginia through the end of 2026. The funds will be focused on cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, with the development of a new data center in Chesterfield County and expansion of the existing facilities in Loudoun and Prince William Counties. The company also detailed expanded education and workforce development programs for Virginians.

RICHMOND, VA — Governor Glenn Youngkin today announced Cailabs US Inc., a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of the French company Cailabs SAS specializing in the design and manufacturing of advanced laser-light products, will invest $300,000 to relocate their U.S. headquarters from Washington, D.C. to Arlington County.  

Cailabs has leased 4,200 square feet of Class A office space at 1530 Wilson Boulevard in Arlington County’s North Rosslyn neighborhood. Cailabs anticipates creating 16 new jobs in the Commonwealth to support continued company growth. 

RICHMOND, VA — MerryGoRound​​, ​a North Carolina-based fulfillment company specializing in ​apparel ​and collectibles, will invest $10,003,600 to establish operations in Pittsylvania County. The company will utilize a 400,000-square-foot facility to support its growing live commerce division, creating 203 new jobs. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina and Puerto Rico for the project.

RICHMOND, VA — Governor Glenn Youngkin today announced that 13 companies across the Commonwealth have graduated from the Virginia Economic Development Partnership’s Virginia Leaders in Export Trade (VALET) program, and 13 companies have joined the two-year program. VALET, from which 425 companies have graduated, assists Virginia exporters that have firmly established domestic operations and are committed to international exporting as a growth strategy.
