Two-year export program provides resources to support international business expansion
Fourteen Virginia companies recognized for completing two-year international business acceleration program
RICHMOND - Governor Ralph Northam today announced that 14 companies from across the Commonwealth have graduated from the Virginia Economic Development Partnership’s (VEDP) Virginia Leaders in Export Trade (VALET) Program. The program, which now has 290 graduates, assists Virginia exporters that have firmly established their domestic operations and are committed to international exporting as a growth strategy.
RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Concept Plus, LLC, an IT service provider specializing in end-to-end design, development, and operational support of database, middleware, and business applications, will invest $140,000 to expand its IT operation to create a shared lab for application developers in Fairfax County. Virginia successfully competed against Colorado, Maryland, Wisconsin, and Washington, D.C. for the project, which will create 31 new jobs.

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Amazon, Inc. will establish a new specialty fulfillment and last-mile delivery center on the Virginia Interstate 95 Logistics Center site in the City of Richmond. The project will add 150 new jobs to Amazon’s existing workforce of more than 10,000 full-time employees across the Commonwealth.
Aireon, LLC to expand Northern Virginia headquarters
RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Aireon LLC, a provider of air traffic surveillance systems around the globe, will make a significant investment to expand its headquarters in Fairfax County. The project will increase the square footage of the company’s office space by nearly 150 percent, accommodating approximately 56 new jobs over the next three years.
BimmerWorld to invest $1 million to expand parts supply operation
RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that BimmerWorld, a leading BMW parts supplier, will invest $1 million to expand its operation in Pulaski County. The company will increase warehouse space to accommodate its customer service center and growing demand for parts. The project will retain 25 jobs and create 15 new jobs.
