Richmond - Governor George Allen today announced the decision by CarMax, Inc., a subsidiary of Circuit City Stores, Inc., to locate its corporate headquarters in the West Creek area of Goochland County. The headquarters will create 1,100 new jobs, and employment could eventually exceed 2,000.

City of Franklin - Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore today announced the decision by Cresstale Limited to locate its first manufacturing plant outside of England in the City of Franklin. The decision will result in an investment of $6 million and will initially create 175 new jobs for Virginians with employment projected to reach an excess of 400 over the next four years. Cresstale will occupy an existing shell building in Franklin's Pretlow Industrial Park this July.

Chesterfield County - Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore today announced the decision by Capital One to locate a new customer contact center in Chesterfield County. The decision will initially result in the creation of 600 new jobs for Richmond-area residents. Capital One will occupy a shell building in the River's Bend development near Chester by August.
