RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that InterChange Cold Storage, LLC will create 88 new jobs and invest $41.6 million in Rockingham County to build a 250,0000-square-foot, state-of-the-art cold storage and blast freezing facility. The company, owned by Rockingham County-based third-party logistics provider InterChange Group, Inc., will provide cold-chain warehousing and value-added services to the region’s food and beverage manufacturers.

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that averhealth, a health care company with nationwide substance use disorder treatment centers, will invest $325,000 to expand its headquarters in Henrico County. Virginia successfully competed against Kansas and North Carolina for the project, which will create up to 50 new jobs.

NIBCO to invest $14 million to expand metal manufacturing operation, retrain employees on new equipment

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that NIBCO INC., a manufacturer of wrot copper fittings for the flow control industry, will invest $14 million to expand its operation in Augusta County. The company is investing in its infrastructure, adding new equipment and updating technology, training programs, and new product development. The project will create 30 new jobs, and 117 existing employees will be retrained on the new technology.

Press Glass to invest $43.55 million to establish first Virginia manufacturing operation

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Press Glass, the largest independent flat glass processing operation in Europe, will invest $43.55 million to establish a 280,000-square-foot manufacturing operation in Henry County. Press Glass represents the first company to locate in the county’s Commonwealth Crossing Industrial Park. Virginia successfully competed against North Carolina for the project, which will create 212 new jobs.

Cascades Inc. intends to establish a lightweight recycled containerboard mill, creating 140 new jobs

Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Cascades Inc. (TSX: CAS), a Canadian leader in the recovery and manufacturing of green packaging and paper tissue products, plans to invest $275 million to establish a lightweight recycled containerboard operation in the former Bear Island Paper Mill in Hanover County. The project will create 140 new jobs.

Company to invest $750,000, retrain seven employees

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Blue Ridge Optics, an industry leader in the fabrication, polishing, and coating of optical components, will invest $750,000 to develop a new product line in the Town of Bedford in Bedford County. The company will receive funding from the Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP) to support the retraining of seven existing employees on the new equipment.

Excivity to expand software operation

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Excivity, a developer of custom software and hardware technologies, will invest approximately $392,000 to expand its operation in Fairfax County. The company will add 7,000 square feet of office space to support its growing technology development business line, as well as additional software developers, quality assurance specialists, and DevOps gurus. The project will create 45 new jobs.
