Richmond - Governor Jim Gilmore today announced Ace Hardware Corporation, an international retailer-owned cooperative of 5,100 stores in 50 states and 65 countries, will locate a major distribution center in Prince George County. The company will invest $38.5 million in the new facility while creating an estimated 325 new jobs. Virginia successfully competed with Kentucky and North Carolina for the investment.

Evercel to employ 180 and invest $25 million in manufacturing plant

Richmond - Governor Jim Gilmore today announced that Evercel, a company that develops and manufactures rechargeable batteries and battery components for use in consumer products and electric vehicles, will locate Evercel's North America manufacturing operations in Newport News. Richmond - Governor Jim Gilmore has announced O'Sullivan Industries - Virginia, Inc., a manufacturer of ready-to-assemble furniture, will expand in Halifax County and hire 100 new employees. The company will invest $11 million in the project. The South Boston plant currently employs 600 people. Virginia successfully competed with Utah and Missouri for the investment.
