RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Microsoft Corporation will invest $251.6 million to expand its data center site in Mecklenburg County and increase capacity to serve its growing customer base. Virginia successfully competed against other sites in the U.S. for the project, which will create 44 new jobs. 

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that MAXIMUS, a government contractor that provides program management and administrative services, will invest $1.87 million to establish a customer support center in the City of Hampton. The new operation will support government contracts across the country. Virginia successfully competed against Pennsylvania and Texas for the project, which will create 189 new jobs.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Grandwatt Electric Corporation, a Suffolk-based manufacturer, has made sales to distributors in Chile and Costa Rica as a result of its participation in the Virginia Economic Development Partnership’s (VEDP) international trade programs. After attending the VEDP-led ExpoMin Chile trade show in April of 2016, Grandwatt signed an agreement with DiPERK Power Solutions to distribute its generators in Chile.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that American Woodmark Corporation, a major manufacturer of quality kitchen and bath cabinets for the home, will invest $30 million to consolidate headquarters operations in Frederick County. Virginia successfully competed for this project, which will retain 377 jobs, in addition to creating 55 new jobs.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Peet’s Coffee®, the original craft coffee brand celebrating its 50th anniversary, will invest $58 million to establish an East Coast manufacturing operation in the City of Suffolk. The company will build a 175,000-square-foot Roastery to produce a variety of coffee. Virginia successfully competed against five other Mid-Atlantic states for the project, which will create 135 new jobs.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Novatech Group, a leading Quebec manufacturer of doorglass, steel doors, patio doors, retractable screens, and insulated glass with or without blinds, will invest $3 million to establish its first U.S. manufacturing operation in Henry County. The company will lease a 100,000-square-foot facility to produce and distribute a variety of patio doors. Virginia successfully competed against six other states for this project, which will create 50 new jobs.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Canatal Steel USA, a subsidiary of Canada-based Canatal Industries and a producer of steel structure fabrication, will invest $1.5 million to expand its manufacturing operation in Botetourt County. The expansion project will create 38 new jobs.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that Canon Virginia, Inc. (CVI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., will invest $100 million to expand its operation in the City of Newport News. Canon Virginia, Inc. will add additional printer cartridge production lines and increase its toner manufacturing and filling.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that Nulife Glass will invest $5.9 million to establish its first Virginia operation in the City of Bristol. A Manchester, England-based company, Nulife provides a complete and sustainable recycling service for all types of cathode ray tube (CRT) glass. This unique solution extracts lead from the leaded glass fraction in CRTs, found in televisions and computer monitors. Virginia successfully competed against Ohio and Pennsylvania for the project, which will create 46 new jobs.
