RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that UnitedHealth Group will expand its operations in the City of Roanoke, creating 250 new jobs in addition to the company’s existing 160 jobs.

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Redemtech, Inc., a leading provider of information technology (IT) asset management solutions, will invest $1.2 million to open a facility in Chesterfield County. The company will initially create 30 new jobs and grow to 80 within 30 months. Virginia successfully competed against Connecticut, Pennsylvania and South Carolina for the project.

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Goya Foods, Inc. will invest $5.1 million to open a new distribution facility in Southpoint Business Park in Prince George County. The company will distribute its canned and frozen specialty foods from the facility, creating 60 new jobs that range from warehouse- to management-level positions. Virginia successfully competed against North Carolina for the project.

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner announced today that Pacific Headwear, Inc. will invest $1.2 million to open a facility in the J. Aubrey Houghton Industrial Park in the Town of South Boston. The company will embroider custom-designed team and corporate headgear, creating 25 new jobs. Virginia successfully competed against North Carolina for the project.

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Call Evolution Company will invest $1 million to open a facility in Scott County. The center will be located in Duffield Industrial Park’s Pioneer Center and will provide customer service support to Fortune 500 financial and insurance companies, creating 200 new jobs in 30 months. 

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that ITT Industries Night Vision (ITT) will invest up to $51.8 million to expand its facility capacity in Roanoke County and create 250 new jobs. The need for ITT’s increased production is the result of a continued swell in global demand for night vision products. The company also is preparing to produce a new product—procured and currently being tested by the U.S. Army—that combines thermal imaging and image intensification technology, the Enhanced Night Vision Goggle.

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Paris Ceramics USA, Inc. will invest $2 million to open a facility in Prince Edward County, creating 30 new jobs. The company will manufacture high-value stone flooring and stone-related products. Virginia successfully competed against Connecticut for the project. Top administration officials met with Charles Smallbone, Chairman of Smallbone plc, the United Kingdom parent company of Paris Ceramics, during a June 2005 European trade mission.

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that OPTIMUS Corporation, a leading provider of government information technology services, will invest $1.15 million to relocate its headquarters from Maryland. The project brings 234 new jobs to Fairfax County that include managers, professionals, technicians, and office and clerical positions.

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Clinch River Forest Products, Inc., will invest $4.35 million to build a new facility in Tazewell County, creating 102 new jobs. The company will build and operate a high-yield, high-technology lumber mill. Virginia successfully competed against West Virginia for the project.

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Lumbee Enterprises, a quality assurance provider of high-end inspection, sorting and engineering rework services in the automotive industry, will invest almost $2.6 million to open a facility in Pulaski County. The company will occupy the former Pfizer facility and perform post-manufacturing modifications for commercial trucks, with a potential of creating 30 to 50 jobs.
