RICHMOND - The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) today announced the acceptance of, the Global Center for Automotive Performance Simulation (GCAPS), located in Halifax County, into its two-year Virginia Leaders in Export Trade (VALET) program as part of the 32nd class. Launched in January 2002, the VALET program assists exporters in the Commonwealth that have firmly established domestic operations and are committed to international exporting as an expansion strategy.

RICHMOND - The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) today announced the acceptance of five Fairfax County companies into its two-year Virginia Leaders in Export Trade (VALET) program: Avizia; Klas Telecom Government, Inc.; Logos Technologies, LLC; Matrix International, Inc.; and Red 5 Holdings, Inc. These Virginia companies join VALET as part of the 32nd class.

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Hitachi ABB Power Grids, a leader in power and energy technologies, will invest $6.2 million to upgrade equipment and increase manufacturing capacity at its Bland County operation. The facility is the largest private-sector employer in the county and the leading producer of dry-type transformers in North America. The Bland County operation successfully competed with other Power Grid manufacturing facilities across the United States for this project, which will create 40 new jobs. 

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Mount-It!, a leading distributor of more than 500 types of mounting solutions, will invest $7.45 million to establish its first East Coast warehouse and distribution facility in the former Quality Way building in Prince George County. The new operation will give the company strategic access to its largest customer base. Virginia successfully competed with Delaware, Kentucky, North Carolina, and West Virginia for the project, which will create 85 new jobs.

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Danish company Rose Holm, a leading manufacturer of threaded bolts for the food and beverage, wind power, and heat exchange industries in Northern Europe, will invest $1.35 million to establish its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Henrico County. The new operation will give the company close proximity to a major customer and further its wind energy efforts. Virginia successfully competed with Indiana for the project, which will create 10 new jobs.

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Plasser American Corporation, a manufacturer of railway construction and maintenance equipment, will invest $52.6 million to expand in the City of Chesapeake. The company will add a 45,000-square-foot, three-story office building and a new 82,000-square-foot manufacturing facility to increase production capacity. The investment plan also involves the renovation of existing infrastructure and the addition of manufacturing equipment, including an updated industrial paint booth.

Launched in January 2002, the VALET program assists exporters in the Commonwealth that have firmly established domestic operations and are committed to international exporting as an expansion strategy. To participate, each eligible business must meet several quantitative criteria and complete an application process.

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Premium-PPE, a manufacturer of AmeriShield branded masks and personal protective equipment, will invest $5.3 million to expand its operation in the City of Virginia Beach. The company will purchase additional equipment to increase manufacturing capacity and meet growing demand, creating 180 new jobs. 

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Silk City Printing, LLC will relocate its corporate headquarters from Paterson, New Jersey, investing $5.7 million to establish a new silkscreened apparel production operation in the former Thomasville facility in Fluvanna County that has been vacant since 2007. Virginia successfully competed with New Jersey for the project, which will create 93 new jobs. 
 

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Ison Furniture Manufacturing, Inc., a North Carolina-based furniture manufacturer, will invest $3.5 million to acquire and renovate the recently closed A.C. Furniture Company, Inc. facility in Pittsylvania County. The company will also purchase new equipment for the assembly and full production of its upholstered furniture products. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina for the project, which will create 150 new jobs.
