RICHMOND - The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) Division of International Trade today announced that the Joan Gabriel Company of Fredericksburg was accepted into the March 2008 class of the Accessing International Markets (AIM) program. The year-long export development program helps Virginia companies pursue new business opportunities overseas. The March 2008 class will target countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

RICHMOND - Governor Timothy M. Kaine today announced that Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee Inc. will invest $40.1 million to open a roasting facility in the Town of Ashland in Hanover County, creating 85 jobs. The company will roast and package coffee for both retail and food service industries, as well as produce flavored coffee, organic coffee, fair trade coffee, infused coffee and iced and hot tea products. Virginia successfully competed with Maryland and North Carolina for the project.

Kaine today announced that Inorganic Ventures, a leading manufacturer of custom inorganic chemical blends, will invest $3.025 million to move its operations from New Jersey to Falling Branch Corporate Park in Christiansburg. The project will create 46 jobs for Montgomery County. Virginia successfully competed with New Jersey and Pennsylvania for the project.
