Patrick O’Connell is a self-taught chef and visionary behind the Inn at Little Washington, the first and only three-Michelin-starred restaurant in the D.C. region. A pioneer of refined regional American cuisine, O’Connell transformed a former garage into an internationally acclaimed culinary destination. Known as “the Pope of American Cuisine,” he has received the James Beard Lifetime Achievement Award, the National Humanities Medal, and global praise for his artistry and innovation. With a legacy spanning over four decades, O’Connell continues to shape American fine dining with elegance, imagination, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
