RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Dynamic Aviation will invest $4.1 million to expand its facility at Bridgewater Airport in Rockingham County. The project will create 206 new jobs, including avionics technicians, airframe technicians, engine repair technicians and electricians. Virginia successfully competed against Maryland, Oklahoma and West Virginia for the project.

“Dynamic Aviation has achieved great things in Rockingham County,” said Governor Warner. “This expansion project will help Dynamic Aviation build on its expertise and further meet the needs of the customer, while creating more than 200 new jobs.”

Dynamic Aviation is the leading provider of leased and operated Beechcraft King Airs throughout the world. The company routinely provides aircraft to accomplish a variety of missions and customers include federal, state and local governments, non-profit research organizations, and private corporations. Headquartered in Bridgewater, Dynamic Aviation operates additional facilities in California, Florida, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.

“For many reasons, Virginia is an outstanding place to call home,” said Michael Stoltzfus, President and COO of Dynamic Aviation. “The combination of the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley, the work ethic found in Virginia, the focus of state and local government on economic development and the proximity to a growing customer base convinced us that the right place to grow was here in the Shenandoah Valley.”

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with Rockingham County and the Shenandoah Valley Partnership to secure the project for Virginia. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance will provide training assistance through its Workforce Services Jobs Investment Program.

“Rockingham County is proud to have Dynamic Aviation as a member of the local business community,” said Pablo Cuevas, Chairman, Rockingham County Board of Supervisors. “Working in partnership with the state and Dynamic, we have created a new and exciting venture that will benefit both Dynamic Aviation and Rockingham County, an aviation technology zone. Focusing on the innovative aviation technology being developed and used by the skilled professionals at Dynamic will help to continue to diversify the local economy and bring high quality jobs to the Commonwealth.”
