Richmond - Governor Jim Gilmore today announced that Ball Corporation, a manufacturer of metal and plastic packaging products for beverages and foods, will invest $11 million in its existing Bristol facility. The expansion will create 40 new jobs for Virginians this year. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina and Indiana for the investment.

Virginia successfully competed with South Carolina for the investment.

Corp., has been a Lee County corporate citizen since 1995. This expansion will create 180 new jobs through a $1.6 million investment. Virginia successfully competed with Tennessee, Indiana and Texas for the project.
