Stephanie Agee designs and executes international business development programs targeted to companies looking to grow beyond the U.S., helping them identify opportunities, enter new markets, and expand international sales. She leads programs that support businesses at every stage of their global growth, from early strategy to execution. As Chief Administrative Officer, she applies her decades of experience leading teams, administering programs, managing budgets, and developing policies to the goal of making VEDP a top state economic development organization.

In her almost two decades working for the Commonwealth, Stephanie has worked at the intersection of government and industry, leveraging her passion for international trade, public service, and entrepreneurship to develop and scale programs that apply public resources to advance private industry for a significant return on investment to the Commonwealth. 

An expert in international trade and program design and execution who helps companies succeed in global markets

She joined VEDP as Vice President of International Trade in 2020 and brings experience across international trade, marketing, and policy. In roles at both VEDP and the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, she has provided executive leadership of the Commonwealth’s international trade and agriculture marketing programs, including directing the expansion of these programs during her tenure. 

Stephanie started her career with the federal government, where she analyzed U.S. international trade and security programs. This combination of experience gives her a practical understanding of how companies expand internationally and navigate complex global markets.
