RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today made six job announcements today totaling 834 new jobs across Virginia. Diversified Information Technologies, a business process management firm specializing in document/data capture and conversion, will invest $10.16 million to open a customer support facility in Orange County. The project, providing business process solutions and records management services to financial institutions, healthcare providers and other public and private entities, will create 200 new jobs. Virginia successfully competed against Pennsylvania for the project.
“Diversified Information Technologies will be a tremendous asset to Orange County,” said Governor Warner. “Not only will the company create 200 job opportunities for the region, this announcement signals that rural Virginia is ready to provide knowledge-based business process solutions for tech companies distributing IT functions outside their home bases.”
Headquartered in Scranton, Pennsylvania and founded in 1982, Diversified Information Technologies helps clients transfer paper-based file management systems to a secure, electronic environment, allowing its customers to access and share files, invoices and other documents. In addition, Diversified provides electronic mailroom processing, automated forms and healthcare claims processing, and archival records storage. Diversified services Fortune 500 companies in the financial services, healthcare, utilities, legal and government industries. The company has 20 nationwide locations and four international locations, employing 2,000 worldwide.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with Orange County and the Thomas Jefferson Partnership to secure the project for Virginia. Governor Warner approved a $250,000 grant from the Governor’s Opportunity Fund to assist Orange County with the project. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance also will support the project with training assistance through its Workforce Services Jobs Investment Program.
