RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that KCG Call Centers, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kavanaugh Consulting Group, will invest $1 million to open a customer service center in Lee County. Kavanaugh Consulting Group is an independent consulting firm specializing in call centers, telecommunications technology, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and customer service endeavors. The project will create 100 new jobs for the region. Virginia successfully competed against Florida and Montana.

"Our administration continues to work hard to bring new jobs to Southwest and other rural parts of Virginia," said Governor Warner. "KCG Call Centers was attracted by Lee County's ready workforce and the strong work ethic of its citizens. I am especially pleased the company plans to work with the Virginia Employment Commission and area community colleges to select, train and employ local people so they will have opportunities to be promoted from within to management positions."

Headquartered in Weston, Florida, KCG Call Centers, LLC was founded in 1998 and became incorporated in 2000. KCG is a full service independent consulting firm in the CRM, call center and customer service arena. The company's primary focus is to build, analyze and improve contact centers and customer service delivery models.
The Lee County call center will be a member of the Results Network, an affiliation of call centers managed by the Results Companies of Dania, Florida. This professional organization is responsible for some two dozen call centers throughout the United States and has gained a reputation for quality and good management.

Paul Kavanaugh, the company's president and managing principal, noted that they selected the southwestern Virginia area for three major reasons. "We like the business climate and the aggressive, positive attitude that the Commonwealth of Virginia is fostering. The availability of employees with a strong work ethic was an important factor; and finally, the Lee County government and development team, in conjunction with the Coalfield Authority, went out of their way to make us feel welcome and wanted. These factors, when added to the obvious concern that Congressman Boucher has for his constituents, made the decision an easy one."

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with officials from Lee County, Virginia Coalfields Economic Development Authority and Congressman Rick Boucher's office to secure the project for Virginia. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance will provide training assistance through its Workforce Services Program. The company also qualifies for a Major Business Facilities Job Tax Credit.

"Lee County welcomes KCG Call Centers," said Claude Ray, Chairman, Lee County Board of Supervisors. "It is truly a partnership in progress and I want to extend my appreciation to the Governor of Virginia, Congressman Rick Boucher, the Virginia Economic Development Partnership and Virginia Coalfields Economic Development Authority for the creation of 100 jobs in Lee County. This is truly a revival of economic growth in the region."

"KCG Call Centers, LLC, as a part of the Results Network, is a rapidly growing, top-tier provider of teleservices with Fortune 500 clients, and our announcement today of the company's $1 million investment in Lee County, and the creation of 100 new jobs, represents an outstanding success for our region," said Congressman Rick Boucher. "I want to thank Virginia Governor Mark Warner for his able assistance as we brought KCG Call Centers to Lee County and for his continued attention and steadfast commitment to the economic development of Southwest Virginia. It is my hope that today's announcement is only the beginning of a profitable and productive relationship between KCG and the communities of Southwest Virginia."
