RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Global Contact Services, LLC (GCS) will locate a customer contact center in Pulaski. Through a $1.35 million investment, GSC will create more than 300 new jobs in the former Advanced Health Services Building at 58 North Washington Avenue. Virginia successfully competed with West Virginia for the project, which is one of the New River Valley’s largest economic development announcements in more than three years.
“The quality workforce of the New River Valley will allow GCS to meet its challenges now and in the future,” said Governor Warner. “I am pleased to announce this company’s decision to locate in Pulaski County and create more than 300 new jobs.”
GCS is a premier provider of multi-channel customer contact management solutions for companies in the insurance, financial, telecommunications, retail and government industries. GCS provides contact center-based services to acquire, retain and grow customer relationships, through the use of high quality resources, industry and management team expertise and innovative technologies. The Virginia Economic Development Partnership, the New River Valley Economic Development Alliance, the Town of Pulaski and Pulaski County and U.S. Senator George Allen assisted GCS with its decision. GCS qualifies for enterprise zone tax credits through the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance will provide workforce training services.
